Areas of Serving*
So who does what at City Church Leeds?
On this page we hope to give you a brief rundown of our different service areas and those with the oversight in that area.
We have an expectation of anyone who joins the fellowship at City Church Leeds to serve in one or more of the following areas (listed in no particular order):
Congregational Leadership
Our leadership team are all servants of God who guide and care for the congregation. They are:

Administration
Every member of God’s church is as vital as the other. The ‘behind the scenes’ work of The Office is essential for all the other areas of ministry to fall into place. Without it, the other areas would not be able to function. Administration is definitely a gift from God! Our administrative team are:

StudentLife (Young adults and students)
Our heart is…
- To help young adults & students have a personal experience of God. We aim to encourage them to share their experiences, challenges, failures and successes with one another.
- To help build relationships that last a lifetime
- To find where they fit in the big picture (the Kingdom of God), and their own unique role within the body of Christ (the church).
We understand that it may be only a short season that some of the students are in Leeds and under our guiding influence, so we aim to make our time with them as fruitful and productive as possible!

Musicians & Singers
Worship is at the heart of every follower of Christ. We believe that God deserves to be worshipped, and we as His people live to worship Him. The role of musicians, singers (and the P.A team) is to facilitate that within our corporate gatherings. The musician team practises most Thursday nights and is guided by:

P.A. and Media
The audio-visual system is an integral part of any corporate church gathering. Our technical team works together with the speaker, musicians and singers to ensure that everything can be seen and heard as well as possible. The P.A. and Media team are:

Stewarding
Picture the scene…
You arrive for an event or meeting at Ashwood Hall. You get out of your car and slip on a pile of wet leaves. You climb the steps only to find the door locked. Peering through the door window you can see the inside of the building is dark and quiet. You pop around to the side doors and find these locked also. Other people are waiting to be let in. Someone turns up with a spare key so you finally go inside. But there is no welcoming light, no heating, no chairs set out – it is just cold, dark and uninviting…
Question: What’s happened?
Answer: The stewarding team did not arrive.
Without stewards, along with the musicians, P.A., children’s workers and not forgetting the preacher, corporate gatherings just would not happen!!!
Children’s Workers**
We believe it is our duty to look after the children spiritually with as much effort and fervour that we look after the adult members of our congregation. Most of the ministry that children receive is from friends and family, outside of Sunday gatherings. Our aim with children’s ministers (volunteers who want to bless children – all our volunteers are subject to vetting procedures according to child protection policy) is to support and augment this. There are several areas within children’s work and most of these are organized by:

Teens / Youth**
Our vision for teens / youth…
- To see young people completely devoted to God.
- To see young people moving out in the Spirit.
- To equip young people to be able to speak freely to friends / colleagues / teachers about Jesus!
There are several events that the teens / youth attend or organise through-out the year. This group generally meets most Fridays at 7pm. The Teens / Youth are led by:
